When to use it

- During a fight about household chores, ask, 'Am I reacting to yesterday's argument or to the dishes right now?'.
- After a low grade on a math test, tell yourself, 'This doesn't mean I'm not capable; what study habit led to this result?'.
- At the end of a race when you feel slow, check yourself: 'Is this real fatigue or the voice telling me I can't finish? Slow to steady, one lap at a time.'
